Open Door Grant  

The Open-Door Grant, funded by the Department of Education available through ÐÓ°É to close the workforce skills gap needed by Florida workers. This program allows participants to successfully attain a workforce certificate in high-demand fields. Also, the Open-Door Grant Program covers 100% of the cost associated with the approved courses listed below to cover the cost of tuition, fees, examination, books, and materials.

STEPS for student interested in CE workforce programs please:

  1. Complete the Continuing Education application and Florida residency verification.
    • This step is for new applicants to ÐÓ°É, and
    • Students who have not attended for 12 months or more.
    • Residency must be verified for new students and current students who have only taken non-credit courses in the past 12 months
  2. Receive Award Notification and Registration Instructions (5-7 Business Days) 
  3. Registers into approved course
  4. Completes program successfully.
